WHAT TO EXPECT IN 2025
Hi there, traveller. I hope you’ve been getting some hard-earned rest this holiday and stuffing yourself with good food and eggnog (whatever that is). A lot has been accomplished these last four months thanks to you. So, before signing off for the holiday season, here are some things you can expect from the Imagined World of Fistbump the Sky in 2025.
EXCLUSIVE CHAPTERS
Chapter Three of the “Fantastical Encyclopedia of the Imagined World of Fistbump the Sky” will be the last chapter released on Amazon as a digital book. Instead, the encyclopedia chapters will be released on “The Exclusive Chapters”– a paid newsletter under Fistbump the Sky where readers get access to:
– An online PDF of the chapters
– Chapter trailers
– Chapter previews
– Author notes
– Behind the Scenes images and notes.
Amazon is an excellent platform with loads of opportunities for self-published authors. I’ll always recommend it for authors living in the Northern Hemisphere. However, my country isn’t among the regions that can access these books. With multiple areas and links to work with, a paid subscription letter makes much more sense. This way, everyone can read the book anywhere they live without needing a Kindle. So, bye-bye Amazon and hello Substack.
ONLINE STORE
Physical prints of the encyclopedia chapters will be available for international purchase at our online store on the official Fistbump the Sky website. Each book has additional details added by hand and surprise small freebie. Unlike the digital versions, the physical prints will be available every second month for a limited amount once the online store is up and running.
THE MAP MAKER
2025 will also see the release of “The Map Maker,”– a serialized story released as an additional newsletter for paid subscribers. Free subscribers can still see and learn about the new characters. However, the story will only be for paid subscribers. The first character has already been released in the letter: “God is a seed. You are an egg.”
THREAD THOUGHTS
Besides the usual update or two, we will be moving away from Instagram and towards Threads. I like Instagram for doomscrolling as much as the next person, but using it as a platform to share ideas and updates is an absolute pain.
This brings me to the last update for 2025
NEWSLETTER TAKEOVER
Behind the Scenes, author notes, thoughts and experiences will all still be available on Substack in 2025. But, instead of bouncing between social platforms like a possessed ball, Substack will officially be the place to go and you’re the first one there.
