THE GODS AND DEMIGODS OF FISTBUMP THE SKY (PART 4)
The story after the creation, as told in the third encyclopedia chapter
LESSON FOUR: CREATING LIFE
Once the creatures were gathered, the Great Frog broke off five fingers from his astral body. The fingers were turned into wisps of smoke that coiled around the god’s shoulders and down his back, drifting towards where Fistbump the Sky was fastened. The smoke shot forward, piercing the air, until it reached the creatures. They inhaled the smoke with greed, sighing as it entered their blood, minds, and souls.
It’s unclear what physical changes, if any, took place after they had absorbed the smoke. According to the demigods, there was a sensation of something wrapping around their souls. Once they opened their eyes, they knew what they needed to do.
Six ropes of fire were shot from the sky and struck the ground before them. Needing no further instructions, they emptied the bags of sand onto the fires. Using other seeds to create life was not an option, as the world’s crust had absorbed them to form the plants and mountains. The only other source was the second element that made their world – the baking ingredients. However, baking ingredients lacked the life force of seeds.
Understanding what they needed to do, each creature tore off a limb and threw it in the fire, watching flesh merge with sand.
By the time the fire had died, their limbs had already regrown. The fire had melted their flesh and sand together and created golden globes that pulsed with internal light. As the globes hardened, they became white and brittle before breaking off into powder. The creatures breathed out as one and the powdery remains floated away to the Birthing Grounds. There Hip Hip would watch over them until they were ready to be born.
Once the world realised that the creatures had created life of their own, its anger melted away. A sense of calm washed over the world, felt by all who called it home. There was no longer a reason to kill the creatures. The world knew their destructive ways had come to an end, for no parent would harm their child’s home.
The Great Frog’s work was done. The creatures had become gods in their own right and would no longer depend on the ultimate god for love. Thus, the Great Frog left the accidental world to his unintentional children and their creations. He returned to his carefree life of wandering the universe and never looked back. What followed next was the Great Migration, which shaped Fistbump the Sky into what is it today.
But that’s a story for another chapter.

It was a very good creation myth overall. Can’t wait to see how the Great Migration shapes everything next.
